The Parwaan school readiness programme provides quality early childhood care and development opportunities to children aged 3 -5 years in low-income communities, while also creating employment opportunities for young adults.
Parwaan provides high quality, sustainable and affordable early childhood education to children, so that they are better prepared for school. At the same time, Parwaan creates opportunities for young adults to set up and manage early childhood centres. The programme works with communities to select and train potential education entrepreneurs. Once training is completed, Parwaan helps them set up the centres and provides them with ECD (early childhood development) kits.
Hear from Mehnaz Akber Aziz, Founder, Parwaan, about how Parwaan came about as a means to address the gap in early childhood development and education in Pakistan.
